From welcoming visitors and providing information to helping behind the scenes, every volunteer plays an important part in creating a safe, friendly and memorable weekend for everyone.
Whether you can give us a few hours, a full day or help throughout the event weekend, we would love to hear from you.

You do not need previous event experience. What matters most is that you are friendly, reliable and willing to help.
How you could help
Volunteer roles may include:
Welcoming visitors
Help people find their way around the event, answer general questions and provide a warm Padiham welcome.
Event stewarding
Support the event team at key locations, help manage pedestrian areas and report any concerns to the event organisers.
Parade support
Help spectators find suitable viewing areas and support the team before, during and after the parade.
Setting up and packing away
Assist with preparing event areas, putting up signs, arranging equipment and helping return the town centre to normal after the celebrations.
Information and programme support
Provide visitors with event information, programmes, directions and details about performances and activities.
Supporting performers and exhibitors
Help direct performers, traders, vehicle owners and re-enactors to the correct locations.
Keeping the event welcoming
Help us keep public areas tidy, identify any issues and make sure visitors have a positive experience.
Roles will be allocated according to the needs of the event and, wherever possible, your interests, experience and availability.
Who can volunteer?
We welcome applications from individuals, community organisations, local businesses and groups of friends who would like to support Padiham on Parade.
Some activities may involve standing or walking for periods of time, but we will aim to offer suitable roles for people with different needs and abilities. Please tell us about any requirements when you contact us.
Volunteers under the age of 18 may need to be accompanied by a responsible adult, depending on the role.
What will volunteers receive?
Before starting, volunteers will be given information about their role, where to report and who to contact during their shift.
You will be supported by the event team and will never be expected to manage a difficult situation alone. Any concerns should be passed immediately to an event organiser or designated supervisor.
